I loved Karlee after our first conversation turned into a marathon phone call. Fast forward to their engagement photos, and I instantly loved Alex too. These people are just good shit. I knew their wedding was going to end up being one of my favourites of the year.
Karlee is lucky enough to have a sister, who is an incredible hair stylist, with a beautiful salon out of her home. The girl's makeup was by Jasmine Hoffman. Karlee's insanely stunning dress was by local Vancouver designer Laudae Bridal.
Karlee's first look with her dad got me right in the heart. I'm a real sucker for crying parents, but then you already knew that.
Karlee and Alex's end of June ceremony was looking as though it was going to be a rainy one. They were going back and forth about whether to do the ceremony under the tent, or stick with the original plans to use Redwoods Golf Course's killer outdoor ceremony space. Ultimately, Alex made the decision to keep with the plan, and it was A-MAZING. It was the perfect lighting and cloudy sky backdrop and the rain held off. The floral garland and bouquets from Floralista were the perfect compliment as usual.
The reception tent at Redwoods is one of my favourites to shoot, because the lighting is perfect from every angle. Also it's pretty much guaranteed that I'll be sneaking extra cookies from the dessert bar in my pockets as I'm leaving, because the food is money.
